An update about Diddy‘s arrest in June for assault may have him avoiding and charges after an incident with a UCLA football coach.
According to the New York Daily News, the Los Angeles county district attorney declined to file charges and the case fell to the City Attorney, who could file a misdemeanor prosecution.
Puffy and his lawyer are scheduled to meet with the City Attorney on October 15th for a hearing that will seek to resolve the case without a misdemeanor complaint.
“It’s an informal proceeding that will determine if there are alternatives to filing charges – which could include restitution, anger management classes or community service,” City Attorney spokesman Rob Wilcox says.
