Luca Dotti, the son of the late actress Audrey Hepburn, has opened up about life with one of the world’s most famous women.
In his new book, Audrey at Home, Dotti describes his mother’s favorite dishes, including simple pasta with tomato sauce, People reports. If that comes as a surprise to those who remember Hepburn’s ultra-chic image from films like Roman Holiday and Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Dotti (whose father was Hepburn’s second husband, Italian psychiatrist Andrea Dotti) says it was of a piece with an unpretentious offscreen life lived well. “She didn’t live in a castle behind bars,” said Dotti, who didn’t realize his mother was a movie star when he was young. “She wasn’t driven in a limo. She was walking with her dog most of the time.”
